The Mares Viper Freediving Mask has lenses positioned closer to the eyes to minimise internal volume and ensure a wide field of view. The special silicone used for the mask body reduces fogging of the mask.

Matt surface with anti-reflective properties.

The Mares Viper Freediving Mask has an attractive and sophisticated design. The inner surface is provided with a special soft touch/anti-reflective treatment. The face shield has been developed with maximum consideration for the ergonomics of the face. A single layer from the forehead to the tip of the nose ensures a high level of hydrodynamics. Compensating with the Viper mask becomes easier and more comfortable.

Ergonomic buckles with two buttons on the face piece make it easy to adjust the strap. The lenses are positioned closer to the eyes to minimise internal volume and ensure a wide field of view.

The Viper Freediving Masks are printed with an innovative production process that allows a unique result. A special frame geometry, direct moulding on the lenses and the innovative molded face part guarantee great durability and lightness. Highly innovative solutions that put Mares Viper at the forefront of the world of free diving and spearfishing masks.

The main features of the Mares Viper freediving and spearfishing mask are:

  • Reduced distance between the eyes and the glass
  • Minimum internal volume
  • Wider field of view
  • Anatomical mask body without inner lip
  • Very light
  • Matt finish
  • The hydrodynamic profile reduces water resistance
  • Ergonomic buckles on the mask strap can be operated effortlessly
  • The special silicone used for the mask body reduces the fogging of the mask

How to prevent fogging?

As a result of production, a silicone release agent forms a film on the glasses. This film, which cannot be removed with soap, alcohol or the like, will cause your glass to fog again and again. To remove this film, it has proven to run a new mask in the dishwasher a few times before the first use. If you also use an anti-fog spray or gel before the dive, you will (usually) have a clear view.

How to prevent water in Freediving Diving Goggles?

Water in the mask is unpleasant, especially in open water if you have water running into your nose in the upside-down position. Note the following:

  • the diving goggles must fit well on your face
  • no beard or at least stripes under the nose smoothly shaved
  • no hair in the mask
